What can I say, this has to be the best b&b I have stayed in. Located about 10min drive from bowness with off road parking and lovely views of the countryside. The staff were lovely, and the rooms were simply superb. Decorated to such a high standard and so clean. The food was to die for and the bar was a great place to spend the evening. I will most definitely be staying here again.

The Hare and Hounds was situated in lovely countryside yet not too far from Windermere and other places of interest. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile. We ate our evening meal at the Hare and Hounds, it was excellent. Highly recommend a visit.

It was exactly what we wanted: clean, very comfortable, quiet (ie, no traffic noise; country surroundings), quaint atmosphere, and great food! Yet it was located near enough to Windermere to make it easy for us to park our rental car and take the bus to the Lake District points of interest. We really enjoyed the friendly treatment afforded us by the staff. If it weren't for Kerry's knowledge of the area we would have missed out on our best hiking. We give the Hare & Hounds our highest rating.
No negative comments. It is a wonderful place to stay.

Lovely place to stay, albeit the evenings were fairly hectic with people in and out try to book tables for meals. Always fully booked when we were there. Meals also first class. We will be booking another stay there at sometime in the future.
Bed was a little on the warm side with somekind of 'filler' on top of the matress.
